Approach

Hello there! My name is Shannon and I am a psychotherapist rooted in contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy. In session, my approach is active while unobtrusive and curious with a sense of humor.

I listen for what you want to change in your life, where you feel disconnected, and what makes you feel alive. Central to my approach is helping you move closer to vitality, however that looks for you. I remain alert to how systems of whiteness, race, gender, class, ability, and power interact and I work to acknowledge, understand, and interrogate these systems.

I graduated from Marquette University with a doctorate in counseling psychology. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I serve as a faculty member at Carroll University in the Behavioral Health Psychology program, where I work with counselors-in-training. I am deeply committed to the training and supervision of therapists.
